Rest assured- Abdul Farm is dedicated to maintaining a healthy ecosystem and treating their crops and animals with respect. While we do not personally support the consumption of animal products, we believe that it is important to support local farmers who are dedicated to sustainability and ethical practices.

The Wholesome Wok is dedicated to wasting as little food as possible! We always carefully plan our menus in order to know exactly how much produce to buy. This helps us to prevent the waste of unused materials. In addition, our chefs work with nutritionists to meticulously calculate our portion sizes. This helps to reduce the amount of food that is left over by our customers.

In addition to reducing food waste, The Wholesome Wok is also dedicated to using zero plastic. All of our takeout bags and containers are biodegradable or able to be recycled, and all of our plates and utensils are reusable. This way, we reduce the amount of single-use plastic polluting the Earth.




Traditional Chinese Methods

Our restaurant is committed to using traditional Chinese cooking methods. This helps support our eco-friendly mission because Chinese cooking is known for its minimal waste and emphasis on using every part of the plant. For instance, at the Wholesome Wok, we use the root, stem, and leaf of the bok choy plant in our dishes. This helps to reduce waste and ensures that we make the most of all of our organic produce.

Chinese food also utilizes more steaming, boiling, and baking than frying. This helps to reduce the amount of oil we use, which benefits our customers and the environment.
